SUNBURY — The 18-year-old accused in the murder of a Port Trevorton man will be in Northumberland County Court next Friday. Miranda Barbour’s preliminary hearing was delayed this week and will be held December 20. District Judge Ben Apfelbaum’s office tells us the hearing will be in the Northumberland County Courthouse, instead of the magistrate’s office due to security reasons and because of the national attention this murder has gained. Barbour’s husband 22-year-old Elytte Barbour is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday, December 17, but it is likely that his hearing will be delayed as well.
